The boys carded their best overall round of the year to finish five strokes behind BIC for second place as we had Noah Young, Cody Brooks, Finley Lancaster, and Jordan Watson all have rounds under 50. This week in pre-K we are talking about our feelings. Feelings are real and we all have them. Emotions range from happy to sad and everything in between. Helping young children learn how to identify, understand, and handle their feelings offers then tools they will use throughout their lives. This week, our children will explore their emotions and learn some techniques for handling them. Today we introduced new vocabulary: emotions and proud. In our writers corner we encouraged the children to draw a face that shows how they are feeling. In math small group we explored pattern blocks. We displayed an assortment of attribute buttons and pattern blocks. They observed the two manipulative and were able to compare and contrast them.

Golf has had a busy week playing at Village Creek on Monday, Eagle Mountain on Tuesday, and Newport Country Club on Thursday. On the girls side, Taryn Sink was the medalist for all three matches; in fact she has been the medalist for all six matches that we have played! Emma Toddy continues to improve nearly every time on the course. Meanwhile, the boys were paced by Cody Brooks this week, who racked up the lowest score each day for the boys team. Noah Young tied Cody for the lowest score on the team once this week and was second lowest another time. Finley Lancaster had the second lowest score from the team at Eagle Mountain. Jordan Watson and Grant Soden continue to contribute and improve on a weekly basis. GO BULLDOGS!!

This week using our FrogStreet curriculum the Swifton toddler class is learning about our arms, hands, and fingers. So far this week we have made shaving cream art, popped bubbles with our fingers, and used our hands and fingers to smash and roll playdoh. We have used our hands and fingers to paint, and learned how to play pat-a-cake with a friend.
