
Mrs. Phillips's class had fun making leprechaun hats for St. Patrick's Day.


Kindergarten students have been working hard on recognizing teen numbers. Today, they reviewed recognizing teen numbers by playing a game called Boom.







Mrs. Amanda's class enjoyed learning about St. Patrick's Day this week. They also made "magical" leprechaun hats!






Computer programming students enjoyed a fun St. Patrick's Day color by binary number activity! They had to convert decimal numbers to binary numbers in order to determine the correct colors for their pictures.


Swifton PreK were all about the butterflies today!











Today's senior high baseball game has been moved up to a 3:30 start due to the forecast of thunderstorms tonight.

In PreK this week we are studying about flying critters. Today for a treat we made a butterfly using celery, peanut butter, apples and pretzels.

The junior boys baseball game scheduled for today has been cancelled.

This week in pre-K we have been learning about insects that fly in judging bees, mosquitoes, flies, butterflies, ladybugs, and dragonflies. We are also learning how these critters fly, which ones are pests, and which ones creates a sweet treat. We have also been learning about metamorphosis of the butterfly and watching our butterflies transform in the classroom.
We learned a new vocabulary term this week: proboscis meaning a long thin tube that is part of the mouth of some insects.
In math we have been joining parts to make a whole and finding parts within a whole.
In literacy we have been blending spoken phonemes (one syllable word with picture support)
We also played a fun activity today with our read aloud called flies and frogs. 🐸











Our THS Bulldog Band earned a DIVISION TWO rating at Region Concert Assessment! This qualifies them to compete at STATE CONCERT CONTEST in Bryant on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. The toddler class has been studying bugs this month, last week we got to enjoy some honey and learn about bees, how they make honey, and what honey looks like.
