
This week in pre-K we have been learning about mammals. We have learned that they are special kind of animal that breathes air, has a backbone, grows hair/fur, and is warm-blooded. They also feed their babies with milk from their mothers. Our children are realizing they are mammals too!
In morning message I have been starting our sentences with lower case letters allowing the children to spot the error and notice it needs a capital letter to begin. They have also telling me the type of punctuation that it needs.
In literacy we have been differentiating what is/is not a mammal. We have also separated sentences into words and understanding that sentences are comprised of words separated by spaces.
In math we have used objects/pictures to subtract objects from sets of 0-5, recognize patterns, while connecting math to the real world. We have also created and extended patterns.











Students in the Criminal Investigations class have been learning about the state medical examiner's job. The pictures show students performing autopsies on pigs to determine the cause of death.






Lady bulldogs pick up the conference win over Hoxie 10-0! Back in action today against Melbourne at home.


Senior high baseball picks up the conference win tonight over Hoxie. Andrew King with the no-hitter, 13K's over 5IP, he was also 2-3, 1RBI at the plate. Finley Lancaster & Jordan Watson 2 runs each. 5 different Bulldogs with an RBI. Go Bulldogs!

Both the Jr high & Sr high softball teams earn victories over Sloan Hendrix today at home. Jr high won 9-3 while sr high won 15-0!

5th grade had to use their knowledge of Volume to help locate the Missing Mailman!










Kindergarten students are learning about plants and plant parts. They enjoyed making their own paper flowers and labeling the parts of the flower.









THS Esports Smash Bros teams both won their matches today!! 3-2 and 3-0. Team members include Jaxson Welsh, Nicholas Brooks, Ryan Keller & Automn Beard. Congrats! Not pictured Kailyn Arter & Christopher Chatman.

This week in PreK we are studying about spiders, scorpions, and worms. In math we decided how many worms it would take to complete our math story. We threw small spiders into a spider web. We dictated sentences as when we were busy as in the story " The Very Busy Spider."

Lady bulldogs defeat the lady greyhounds 7-4 in conference softball action yesterday!


Jr high lady bulldogs defeated Newport 7-2 yesterday. They move to 4-0 on the season.


This week in pre-K we have been learning about 3 bugs that many people don't like: spiders, scorpions, and worms. We have learned that not all of these creatures are dangerous and how to stay safe around those that are. We have also talked about how some of these creatures can be very helpful.
In our morning message we have learned about a comma and that it reminds us to pause between words. We have made a Venn diagram comparing scorpions and spiders to humans. We have still been working on phonemes in literacy. In math we have been comparing quantities using objects and pictures to add and subtract. We have been understanding addition as putting together and adding to.











School Board meeting is tonight at 6:30 PM.

The junior boys baseball game scheduled for today has been cancelled.

Senior high baseball went to Harrison, played in their tournament over spring break, and had a record of 1-2. Here is our schedule for this week.
