Lady bulldogs defeat the lady greyhounds 7-4 in conference softball action yesterday!

Jr high lady bulldogs defeated Newport 7-2 yesterday. They move to 4-0 on the season.

This week in pre-K we have been learning about 3 bugs that many people don't like: spiders, scorpions, and worms. We have learned that not all of these creatures are dangerous and how to stay safe around those that are. We have also talked about how some of these creatures can be very helpful.
In our morning message we have learned about a comma and that it reminds us to pause between words. We have made a Venn diagram comparing scorpions and spiders to humans. We have still been working on phonemes in literacy. In math we have been comparing quantities using objects and pictures to add and subtract. We have been understanding addition as putting together and adding to.

School Board meeting is tonight at 6:30 PM.

The junior boys baseball game scheduled for today has been cancelled.

Senior high baseball went to Harrison, played in their tournament over spring break, and had a record of 1-2. Here is our schedule for this week.

Mrs. Phillips's class had fun making leprechaun hats for St. Patrick's Day.

Kindergarten students have been working hard on recognizing teen numbers. Today, they reviewed recognizing teen numbers by playing a game called Boom.

Mrs. Amanda's class enjoyed learning about St. Patrick's Day this week. They also made "magical" leprechaun hats!

Computer programming students enjoyed a fun St. Patrick's Day color by binary number activity! They had to convert decimal numbers to binary numbers in order to determine the correct colors for their pictures.

Swifton PreK were all about the butterflies today!

Today's senior high baseball game has been moved up to a 3:30 start due to the forecast of thunderstorms tonight.

Lady Bulldogs move to 4-3 overall and 2-1 in conference with a 15-0 win over cave city today!

In PreK this week we are studying about flying critters. Today for a treat we made a butterfly using celery, peanut butter, apples and pretzels.
