This week in pre-K we have been talking about relatives. We referred back to our book we've been reading on if they could fly where they would fly to or what they would say. They talked about the names they called their grandparents. We've made sets of 3 in math. We also introduced Frog-E which is Fanny's robotic cousin that we can program to make him move.

The sixth grade students played a game today to practice understanding the connotation of words. The teacher said a word, and the students had to move to the sign to show if the word had a negative, positive, or neutral connotation.

The Jackson County School District has received a Facebook message containing screenshots which contain a possible threat to a school(it doesn't name a specific school in the text). We have compared it to a post that other schools have received and it is the same. If you are concerned, you may keep your students at home today and it will not count against their attendance. The safety of our students and staff is the biggest concern of the Jackson County School District.
