The Jackson County School District is in Secure Mode. This means the outside doors are locked and the students are being kept inside the buildings. This is due to a report of shots being fired in the area behind the food pantry. Law Enforcement on all local levels are investigating the matter. All steps to keep students & staff safe are being enabled.

We're learning about families this week. Toddlers put together their family pictures and glued them to paper. We learned some families only have one child, some have 2 or more, some have only brothers, some have only sisters and even some families have special family members that are no longer with us.

This week in pre-K we have been talking about open and closed shapes. We have also been talking about feelings. We've discussed how we have been feeling and what causes us to feel this way. We also demonstrated a straight line and then joined hands to make a circle to show open and closed shapes.
