Congratulations to our sr high softball team for completing their conference season undefeated by winning over Cedar Ridge 15-0 today. The girls finished 10-0 in conference play and are now 21-4 overall.

The Jackson County School District will be hosting a public meeting at the Edwin Shaver Auditorium in Tuckerman on Tuesday, April 29th at 6:30 pm. The reason for the meeting will be to provide information regarding the upcoming millage vote on May 13th. Refreshments will be provided.

The high school baseball team won a conference doubleheader over Mammoth Spring yesterday by 12-0 and 17-2 scores. Bronx Holland and Cameron Ford picked up the pitching wins. Today's home game with Bald Knob is cancelled. We are scheduled to play at Cedar Ridge on Thursday. Stay tuned for any updates due to the rain forecast that day.
Highway 18 West from Newport to Grubbs is open. There will be one bus into town. Anyone out of town can meet the bus at the Blue Jay store around 4:00 PM in the afternoon and 7:00 AM in the morning.

The baseball team won the “Battle for the Bone” against Newport on Friday night. Andrew King picked up the win by striking out 10 over 5 and 2/3 innings. Bronx Holland picked up the save by getting the final 4 outs. Holland also scored 2 runs on offense. Caden Templeton had 1 hit and 1 RBI. We return to action Monday afternoon against conference foe Mammoth Spring for a double header and senior night.
