Parent Night for current 7th grade students will be held on Thursday, April 7th in the SMS Auditorium. This will be held in conjunction with the 7th grade Career Project Fair. Parents will be able to view their students career projects from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Mrs. Angelia Holland, THS Counselor, will be discussing class selections for the 22-23 school year beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Baseball won the “Battle For the Bone” over Newport yesterday. Aaron Hurst threw a 1 hit shutout and had 12 strikeouts pitching while also clobbering a 3 run home run. Timothy Ward also had 3 runs batted in yesterday. Eli Tackett and Will Tubbs also contributed multiple hits.

JCSD Participates in School Choice! The Jackson County School District participates in School Choice. Applications can be obtained from the district’s Administration Office, located at 300 North Dowell Avenue in Tuckerman. New applicants requesting consideration to begin enrollment within the Jackson County School District must complete an application. Each completed application must be received by the district no later than May 1, 2022. Questions regarding School Choice can be forwarded to the Jackson County School District at 870.349.2232.

Pending DCCECE Grant approval, we will be offering a TODDLER ROOM (18-36 months) for both Tuckerman and Swifton preschool sites beginning 2022-2023 fall school year. If you are interested in one of the limited slots, please stop by to register Tuesday, April 5th or Wednesday, April 6th from 8:00-3:30 @ the Tuckerman Preschool. Please bring the following documentation: 1. Birth Certificate 2. Social Security Card 3. Medical Insurance Card 4. Immunization Record 5. Current well child/physical/health screening 6. Income Documentation for adults living in the home (current tax return, w-2's, pay check stubs for one month(must be most current), schedule C (if self-employed), or notarized statement for no earned income. Notarization can be done the day of registration at our site free of charge. Children enrolling for the toddler program must be 18 months before they can start.
