THS GT students helped in the food pantry today at Tuckerman School.





Tuesday Zeke Church placed 10th with a time of 9:45 in the 1.5 mile race at Davidsonville State Park. The Junior Boys placed third out of sixteen teams. The Cross Country team will travel to Cave City next week for the Cave Man Open.


Students in Mrs. Carrie’s 8th grade preAP literacy class participated in student-led literature circles today over their class novel, The Giver. Students asked open ended questions, made connections with the text, pulled vocabulary, and summarized their reading.

Congratulations to Freshman Kade Keton on being selected our FFA chapter’s Creed Speaker! He will be representing our chapter while competing at the Sub-Area contest in November! If he places in the top two at that competition he’ll represent us in the Eastern District Contest!


The THS Golf team competed in the district tournament at Cooper's Hawk in Melbourne today.

Saturday the Tuckerman Cross Country team hosted the 2nd annual River Run Meet at Jacksonport State Park!
We would like to thank Merchants and Planters Insurance for sponsoring our meet! We appreciate your support of our runners! Also, big thanks for Mark Ballard, Josh McMasters, and the whole crew at Jacksonport State Park for all their help. They mowed the course, parked the busses, and got the whole park ready for our meet. Also big thanks to our team parents who helped mark the course, drove the lead ATV, brought drinks and food, and helped the whole meet run smoothly.
The Junior Girls and Junior Boys won first place in the meet! For the Junior Boys Christian Ashley won the race with a PR time of 9:04, and Zeke Church finished 2nd with a PR of 9:11. In 5th through 9th place, we had Jordan Watson, Avery Brunner, Bronx Holland, Andrew Chapman, and Avery Scoggins all medaling in the race, securing the win for the Junior Boys. Runner-up for the Junior Boys teams was Cedar Ridge.
In the Junior Girls race, Josie Branch placed 8th with a PR time of 12:16, and August Huckabee placed 10th, with a PR time of 12:25. Maddyx Soden placed 14th, Zaylie Poe 17th, and Bristen Wheeler 18th to round out the top 5 and secure the win for the Lady Bulldogs. Melbourne Junior Girls were the runner-up in the race.
For the Senior Boys 5K, Elias Reed medaled in 10th place with a PR time of 22:37.
In the Senior Girls 5K, Kaydance Slagley (4th place-26:51),Laci Worthington (5th place-26:52), Annsley Dawson (7th place-29:12.49) Kenzie Soden (8th place-29:12.50) and Scarlet Doyle (9th place-30:39) all medaled in the top ten to win runner-up for the team.

Congratulations to Senior Jamy Fears. We accepted a $40,000 scholarship to ASTATE today!! Seniors, there’s still time to apply for ASTATE. They’ll be on campus, October 6th @ 6 pm for College Night to meet with any interested juniors & seniors.
