This week using our FrogStreet curriculum the Swifton toddler class is learning about our arms, hands, and fingers. So far this week we have made shaving cream art, popped bubbles with our fingers, and used our hands and fingers to smash and roll playdoh. We have used our hands and fingers to paint, and learned how to play pat-a-cake with a friend.

With this extreme heat this week we decided to do a little experiment. We let each child predict what they thought would happen if we kept the crayons in the shade vs. If we placed them in the direct sun. In the shade the crayons weren’t even getting soft. After placing them in the direct sun it didn’t take long for them to completely melt out of their wrapper. 🖍️ ☀️ ~ Mrs. Heather & Mrs. Susan pre-K

This week we have been learning about our bodies! We have labeled body parts, danced to different body movements, used our hands and nose to smell/feel different textures than we used our feet to walk on the different textures. The kids had a AWESOME week learning about their body!!

This week our class has been discussing "Our Bodies" with our new frog Street curriculum. Some of the activities we have done includes: learning how our skin has receptors and allows us to feel hot/cold as well as different textures. We passed around a tray of different textures for everyone to feel and talked about the items. We also discovered our shadows outside with the sun light and traced our body outlines.
