Mr. Sloan's Economics classes used profiles to work together to make a buget.






Our 18-36m toddler class is learning about horses and cows this week, we learned that although we get our milk from a store before that we collect the milk from cows and with milk we can get ice cream and butter. Today they got to make butter, they shook the containers full of heavy cream as hard as they could and were so surprised to see the butter and butter milk after it had separated. Their little expressions were the absolute best!!









This week in math we have been discussing: plus 1 or minus 1, so today we practiced using a calculator!




Bronx Holland a 9th grader at THS has earned an invitation to the annual Arkansas'Governor's Quiz Bowl Jr. High All-Star Tournament. His outstanding individual performance at regionals and state earned him this honor! Congratulations and Good Luck!


8th grade Arkansas History students presented their projects over famous Arkansans.











Kindergarten students are working on reading and spelling simple words. In this activity, each student received a letter and had to listen to the word called to see if their letter sound was heard in the word. Then, students had to build the word together. The "audience" had to read the word to make sure it was spelled correctly.









This week in PreK we are learning about mammals. Today using a microscope we looked at a sheep's hair. During Literacy small group using a checklist we decided what was a mammal and not a mammal.











This week we have started our animal theme in preschool.










This week in pre-K we have been learning about mammals. We have learned that they are special kind of animal that breathes air, has a backbone, grows hair/fur, and is warm-blooded. They also feed their babies with milk from their mothers. Our children are realizing they are mammals too!
In morning message I have been starting our sentences with lower case letters allowing the children to spot the error and notice it needs a capital letter to begin. They have also telling me the type of punctuation that it needs.
In literacy we have been differentiating what is/is not a mammal. We have also separated sentences into words and understanding that sentences are comprised of words separated by spaces.
In math we have used objects/pictures to subtract objects from sets of 0-5, recognize patterns, while connecting math to the real world. We have also created and extended patterns.











Students in the Criminal Investigations class have been learning about the state medical examiner's job. The pictures show students performing autopsies on pigs to determine the cause of death.






Lady bulldogs pick up the conference win over Hoxie 10-0! Back in action today against Melbourne at home.


Senior high baseball picks up the conference win tonight over Hoxie. Andrew King with the no-hitter, 13K's over 5IP, he was also 2-3, 1RBI at the plate. Finley Lancaster & Jordan Watson 2 runs each. 5 different Bulldogs with an RBI. Go Bulldogs!

Kindergarten students are learning about plants and plant parts. They enjoyed making their own paper flowers and labeling the parts of the flower.
