As part of a coordinated response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) in partnership with the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas has developed this Parent/Guardian Survey for soliciting family input on what is working now and what may be considered for the future.
The survey seeks to involve families in an organized, ongoing and timely way in planning, review, and improvement.
The intention of this survey is not to identify individual district responses, but rather to establish an understanding of the state as a whole. The information will be aggregated by region only; therefore, families will be asked to identify the region of the state in which they live in order to understand the distribution of the survey without specifically identifying any district by name.

The Jackson County School District will be instituting four flex days, November 19-20 & December 17-18. Facts about these four days.
1. All campuses will be open. It is up to the students/parents whether or not they attend school onsite or remain home these days, this is optional.
2. The buses will run normal routes.
3. There will be no new content instruction.
4. Focus of these days will be on student remediation & communication with virtual students.
Tuckerman High School will be pivoting to virtual learning November 11-13, with no onsite learning for students due to COVID19. THS will be back onsite on Monday, November 16th. Tuckerman Elementary School and Swifton Middle School will both remain open as onsite learning campuses.
The seventh grade girls, junior girls & senior girls basketball games scheduled for Thursday night at Westside have been cancelled.
The 7th grade girls, junior girls and senior girls basketball games scheduled for tomorrow night, November 10th, against Rivercrest at Tuckerman have been cancelled.

This message concerns this year’s basketball games and tickets. There will be no entrance to basketball games this year unless you have a voucher in hand which allows you to purchase a ticket. This is having to be done due to COVID restrictions by the ADH and AAA. The vouchers will be given out to the ballplayers and cheerleaders. Thank you for your understanding.
Reminder to the Class of 2021: Senior class group picture will be tomorrow, October 15 at Jacksonport State Park. Seniors need to be on campus by 9:30am to load the bus! We will take the picture and then have lunch before returning to school. Thank you!
Chromebook Insurance for Swifton Middle School & Tuckerman High School students is currently on sale for $50. Forms with payment may be returned to the office at SMS and may be returned to the office or ISS room at THS.
The Tuckerman Elementary Library will be hosting a Virtual Pumpkin Parade this year! If your student has a pumpkin they would like to show off, please email a picture of your child with their pumpkin, and Mrs. Watson will print it and hang it in the hallway for all the students, faculty and staff to enjoy!
