With the new school year starting soon, and with new rules going into effect for free and reduced meals, the Jackson County School District is urging qualifying families to sign up for the service as soon as possible. The federal USDA waiver that allowed school districts to provide meals at no cost to all students expired on June 30, 2022. The USDA did NOT extend the federal waiver for the upcoming school year. Families that do not complete a free/reduced lunch form or does not qualify for free/reduced meals will have to pay full price for school meals. Many students will qualify for the free/reduced price meals, but families must apply. The 2022-23 Free and Reduced Meal applications will be sent home with each student the first day of school. However, if you would like to complete your form early, you may pick up a form at the Elementary, Middle School or High School Principal Offices and the Administration Office. Only ONE application per household is required. MEAL PRICES: Due to increase in food cost, the district will be increasing paid meal prices for the 2022-23 school year. Student Breakfast: $1.75 Student Lunch: $2.75 Adult Breakfast: $2.25 Adult Lunch: $3.55

Orientation for Tuckerman High School will be held on August 8 & 9. Chromebooks can be picked up from 4-7 pm in the Study Hall room both days.

If you need something to do for the next two days come out to Tuckerman and watch some basketball. No entry fee!

If your student qualified for free or reduced meals during the 2020-2021 school year & had to miss days due to COVID 19(isolation or quarantine), you may qualify for P-EBT.
