UPDATE: The mask status on the buses will be the same as in the school. Therefore, if we are facemask optional, we are optional in the school and on the buses.
Mask Required- District is red, purple or pink on the the ACHI(Arkansas Center for Health Improvement) map or JCSD has more than 10 COVID positive cases(students & staff).
Mask Optional- District is green, yellow or orange on the the ACHI(Arkansas Center for Health Improvement) map and JCSD has less than 11 COVID positive cases(students & staff).

It is Senior Day for the Lady Bulldogs softball team today. There will be a short ceremony before the game at 4:00.

The Lady Dogs beat Cedar Ridge 8-0 in conference play. They will play Salem @ home today starting at 4:00. This will also be our senior day. Go bulldogs!

Granges Aluminum Company HR Rep Lela Chalmers visited with seniors in Mrs. Sally’s room this morning. She discussed job positions open and discussed what Granges produces. Students also got to complete an application of employment.




Cedar Ridge comes to town today at 4:00. Go Bulldogs!


The Jackson County District will dismiss today at 1:00 due to the forecast for severe storms this afternoon. Tuckerman Elementary carline pickup will start at 12:45.

Tuckerman beat White County 21-0 in three innings. Wednesday’s game against Melbourne has been canceled due to weather. The bulldogs will play Cedar Ridge @ home Thursday at 4:00.

Seniors: Granges will be on campus tomorrow, Wednesday, April 13 at 8 am to visit with anyone interested in a job at their Newport location. The visit will be in Mrs. Sally’s room. This is open to any interested senior! For more information contact Mr. Michael.

Lady Bulldog Weekly Schedule.

No JV game tonight at Melbourne


THS Prom 2022 will be held at the Newport Country Club on Saturday, April 9. Prom will start at 7:00 and Pinkston’s will begin taking pictures at 6:30. Servers need to be there at 6:00. Senior Grand March will start around 8:30 and senior parents/guardians may attend. Please wait at the front entrance. Attached you will find the Prom picture order form.

Swifton Middle School 7th grade Career Development students hosted a Career Project Fair today. Students have been researching different careers over the past few weeks. Their research has included education & training needed, job duties and the job outlook for the next 10 years.
