We are reading a story about kids trying on different hats and what colors they are🩵 we are also using our fine motor skills to cut paper and learning colors we are cutting🧡

Mrs. Amanda's class read the book "Amelia Bedelia's First Apple Pie" today. They sampled apple pie after the story and determined if it was something they would like to eat again.

The Cross Country meet at Davidsonville State park today has been postponed until Thursday.

This week Swifton toddlers have learned about families. They enjoyed showing off their family pictures after finding them in the sensory table.

This week in Pre-K was full of learning and fun. We explored sizes (small, medium, and large), practiced listening to long and short sounds, and built letters with our Frogstreet materials. We played a game rolling dice to see who could get the longest and shortest sticks, and we compared heights and widths all around us. 📏 We learned that without comparing it is hard to tell the size of something. We also started working with compound words in Launchpad, asking questions like, “What is pancake without cake? Pan!” The kids enjoyed taking words apart and putting them back together again.

🎉🏆 We are incredibly proud to announce that Tuckerman High School has achieved an “A” letter grade from the Arkansas Department of Education for three years in a row! Out of all traditional high schools in Arkansas, we are one of only 3 to reach this milestone. This places us in the top 1%! This accomplishment is a testament to the hard work, perseverance, and growth mindset of our amazing students and staff. 💪📚 Your daily dedication does not go unnoticed, and we couldn’t be prouder. FFA and Key Club teaming up to help set up the Finish Sydney’s Run 5k! These students were here this morning as early as 6am to help mark the route and they’ll be passing out waters during the race and cleaning up afterward! We’re so proud of our student volunteers! (Not pictured are Charleigh Hubbard and Ella Webb, they are helping with registration)

The Bulldog golf teams concluded their regular seasons this week with matches at Village Creek and Newport Country Club. Taryn Sink was the medalist for both of her last matches in Jackson County.

Both teams have prepared themselves well for the conference tournament next Tuesday.

SMS 5th and 6th grade students are participating in the ASU Financial Wellness Quiz Bowl today!

A big thank you to Mr. Peyton Mitts and Hayden Leonard from Farmer’s Electric for visiting our 4th graders and teaching them all about energy and electrical safety!

8th grade science students designed a way to test velocity changes with changes in mass.

THS Biology students participated in an Enzymatic Browning lab to observe, understand, and inhibit the biochemical process that causes fruit and vegetables to brown when exposed to air.

The cross country team traveled to Sulphur Rock last week to compete in the Batesville Invitational meet. Davion Hargrave medaled for the Jr boys, placing 14th with a time of 9:38 in the 1.5 mile race. The Jr boys placed 6th as a team out of 16 competing teams. Today the team will travel to Paragould for the Ram Invitational. Go Bulldogs!

Mrs. Amanda's kindergarten class has been working hard in math making sets of objects to 5, writing numbers to match their set, and finding hidden partners of numbers up to 5.
